After my last night in L.A we drove to Cambria the next day. We only stayed for one night and just went in the pool... It was getting colder and we weren't liking it!!!
Next day was Monterrey, we visited Hurst Castle on the way there, which was pretty awesome. It had a ridiculously sized pool inside and out, around four guests houses... etc etc.
In Monterrey we went to the aquarium, which was so lovely! The otters were so cute playing around in the water!!! And there were sea lions around the bay and also seals!!! They were so used to humans that they just lay there while we watched and took photos.
On the way to San Fransisco we went to the theme park on the beach at Santa Cruz. One ride, i went on with Faye and Adrian... Faye was screaming so high pitch that for the whole ride i couldn't stop laughing which is quite strange as I was being plummeted into the air and down again at 55mph! The ride we went on is the 6th oldest in the USA!
Today was my first full day in San Fransisco! It's been so cold! I didn't realise it would be this cold in August! We travelled to Alcatraz this morning, the audio tour was fantastic, and we got a feel of how the prison was etc. It seemed like a really awful place to be but it was interesting to hear about all the escapes and attempted escapes.
Then in the afternoon we visited Adrians friends, they were lovely and their two boys, Alex and Nicholas, were so adorable!
It was a good day and tommorow should be pretty good too!!

Second Day in L.A
Today we went to the Chinese Theatre in the morning to see all the hand and shoe impressions from celebrities. We saw Tom Hanks, Morgan Freeman, George Clooney and my favourite all the cast from the Harry Potter, that included their wand impressions!
We also saw all the stars in the street which was cool!
At lunch time i spent time down the Venice beach.. me and Faye went swimming and we both played frisbee with mike.
Then we walked down the street across to Muscle beach where they hold the Strongest Man competition... we played around on the qym equipment and also saw these huge muscular men that had ridiculously sized muscles!!! It was abnormal!
After lunch we went driving around the ridiculously sized houses! They were so beautiful and we loved looking at them all. Then we strolled down the legendary Rodeo Drive (Pretty Woman - oh yeah!) and looked in all the shop windows.
We went to dinner and then came home... We are all so tired, but watching Bruce Almighty to drag out the evening!

L.A
Star Girl is in Los Angeles!!!
First full day in The States and we went to Universal Studios. It was a great day, we did all the rides and shows etc.
We firstly started with the Simpson's ride, it was brilliant, although it left you with a queasy feeling. The animation was fantastic and it was great fun, also as we got there early we queued for around ten minutes compared to those who chose to ride in the afternoon and spent 45 minutes queuing.
Secondly, we went on the Jurassic Park ride and got absolutely soaked! We were drenched but the ride was amazing, the dinosaurs were so scary, especially the last T-Rex just before you fell down the drop. Afterwards we were all cold but it was good to get the ride down early so that we had the midday sun to dry us off.
Not only are there rides at Universal but it does the talks on special effects, filming, make up, editing and camera uses etc. The staff were friendly and funny making the shows/talks enjoyable for our whole family.
The Universal tour was also brilliant, at around the right length of time (45 minutes) we got a tour of the whole campus. We saw movie sets and saw stunts such as a flood (the scene from big fat liar), and also a man falling out of a building (for a film which can not be named!).
Another ride was The Mummy. This was the fastest ride in the whole theme park, it was so fast that my eyes streamed with tears as we went through. It was pitch black but even Faye liked it.
Other shows included Water World, which was brilliant, the stunts were incredible and had everyone watching intently.
The final show we went to was the animal movie stars, some of the animals ad been in films such as Evan Almighty, One animal seemed quite distressed though =S
When we were leaving we stopped off in a range of shops which were selling cheap souvenirs which were great to look at and would be a reminder of the day.
Now it's bed time... I'm so tired from the day and we have a long day tomorrow as well.

California
I'm leaving for California tommorow... It's going to be a really amazing trip!
I can't wait! Although I have to get up at 4.30am for an 11hour plane journey to LA. Joy.
I'll be sending in posts to write about what i see and do... I just want to get some swimming done in the amazing pools!
We're travelling all over the state and also stopping off in Nevada to visit Las Vegas.
I'll keep writing...

Save the Seals!!
Hey,
So I have a whole summer of no school, before college in September, so I thought I would start writing in this blog.
Hopefully it should be a regular thing, I would like to inform people on environmental issues, and also animal welfare!
So in my first blog i thought i would mention the seals. Adorable little creatures that get clubbed to death for "fun".
This unacceptable form of behaviour is disgusting, killing is not fun. But aparently for some people it is...
After researching more on the topic, i found a website which encouraged the act! The words used were:
"Have your own pet seal! You can feed him, play with him, put him to bed... And club him to death!!"
Seals are clubbed for their fur (only baby seals) and their skin for waterproof jackets and boots. They are also clubbed for their meat which can be used for pet food. And of corse, for fun.
But i suppose when they say what they're doing is humane... they must be telling the truth.
The outragous behaviour of few can influence others and their opinions on the matter. Seals were not born to be clubbed. They are beautiful animals, along with all the other animals in the world.
I cannot express enough, how disgusting this sport is. It's pathetic that people feel superior and powerful over animals that cannot defend themselves.
Don't support seal clubbing!! Club sandwiches not seals.
